Mumble Tutorial

In case any of you don't know, we do have a brand-spanking new Mumble server just for us! This Mumble server allows us to log in to a voice chat channel so we can chat through voice together!
And it doesn't slow down your game and was created for gamers, possibly by gamers!

Built-in Microphones WORK with Mumble! You may have a Built-In Microphone and you just haven't realized it. :P

Here's how you can get on the Mumble server:
1st, download the Mumble client, at http://mumble.com
Then, download your client in this little spot. Click the icon that has your operating system.
Available in Windows, Mac and Linux.
Once you've installed the file, go to your applications and open the file named "Mumble". If your on a Mac, you may have gotten a file named Mumble11x. Don't open that, open the normal Mumble. A server list should appear, but this isn't what we want! Close out the server list. A configuration "wizard" should appear, but if it doesn't,  click on "Configure" in the menu bar.
<--- That is the Mumble menu bar on a Mac.

Click on "Configure" in the menu bar, and then click on "Audio Wizard". Follow the directions in the wizard. For Built-In microphone users, you may get a bit of feedback. (kind of like Ambience in Minecraft)That is NORMAL.  Once you've configured your Audio Wizard, you should be ready to use Mumble! When you're ready, click on "Connect" in the "Server" side of the menubar. It should pull up that server list! Minimize the tab labeled "Public Internet" and click on Add New in the bottom right corner.

This is the "Add Server" window in Mumble, shown on a Mac. In case you haven't noticed, everything should appear very similar between Macs and Windows. (I've never used Linux, so Linux users may not find this helpful.) In the label, type in whatever you want The Iron Network's Mumble to appear as in your server list. In address, type in 199.15.234.168. In Port, type in 64744. In username, type in whatever you want for your Mumble server-unique name to be. Then click, "OK." Then when you try to connect, it should prompt you for a password. The password won't be posted publicly on the site. Please ask for the password in-game on Minecraft or via email at my email address, and I will give it to you. Sharing the Mumble server information to allow players who have not been given the password IS AGAINST THE RULES AND WILL BE PUNISHED.

Speaking of rules, our Mumble server has very few rules.
-Have fun
-Be nice
-Keep swearing to a minimum

We may appear to be a bit more relaxed with swearing on Mumble then on the Minecraft server, but we only do this because some times you may let something slip, which is OK. You just can't curse like a sailor. :P

I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial and I can't wait to see you guys on Mumble!
